Biography:
In his final year of university, studying Geography at the University of Exeter. Ben began swimming when he was 5 and raced competitively until he was 14, whilst taking up mountain biking around this time, Ben became hooked on cycling. At 16 he joined his local club, CS Dynamo, and began road riding. Although Ben only started racing in 2018, he achieved some great results which resulted in earning his Cat 2 licence.

Guy is the youngest rider on the team. At 19 he is a promising new talent who has decided to see what he can do in cycling by becoming a full time rider. After completing his A level’s in the North of England, Guy will be down with the team for the season. Targeting hilly one day races as well as stage races we are super excited to see what this young climber can produce. Keep your eyes peeled… He’s definitely one for the future.

Biography:
Following a youthful start to competitive sports in athletics, Russell took time off to focus on his career. After a long awaited return, he started cycling in 2014 and quickly got drawn back in to competition. Juggling a demanding career as a Manager at a successful engineering firm and high end competitive cycling can be challenging, so Russell focuses heavily on structured training and a high level of discipline.
“I’m light, lean and use my power to weight ratio to focus on hilly events. I enjoy a mixture of Hill Climbs, Track, Fixed Gear Criterium and challenging Criterium & Road Races.”
In addition to racing for Race Veloce Cycling Team, he is also a committee member for Dursley Road Club to help run & support local Time Trialing & Hill Climbs events.

Mike Davis

Biography:
A previous footballer representing Uley Football Club in the Stroud League. Mike ruptured his ACL whilst playing football, and to aid recovery and fitness, took up cycling. He competed in triathlon from sprint distance up to Half Ironman alongside time trialling for Dursley Road Club.
Last year Mike started to race road and criterium races as well as time trials representing
Bikestrong-KTM, where he went from Cat 4 to Cat 2 in 3 months of racing, taking 4 wins and a couple of top 5’s on the way. He also had his best season time trialling with a handful of podium finishes in open Time Trials and competed in his first national championships.

A 4th year Engineering Apprentice with Muller UK & Ireland based in Stonehouse. Early age love of sports included swimming and rugby. Took up cycling in 2014 – enjoyed track, road, TT and sprint triathlons and also undertook a half ironman. Was part of Ride 24/7 Youth Development squad, progressed to BPF cycling in 2016 and progressed to Cat 2. Won the 2018 U23 competition in the Cotswold League.

Francis Dolls

Biography:
After playing football at a high level, Francis became injured and ended up mountain bike riding. Very soon after entering his first race he was hooked and in 2016 bought his first road bike.
After participating in the Veloton Sunday shop rides, he was asked to join their race team and raced in 2 Odd Down criteriums, he then waited for the Castle Combe series to start and raced 3 more times but had yet fallen in love with road racing.
At the start of 2018 he entered the Odd Down winter series and picked up 10th place and his first points. As his confidence grew, Francis continued to race around the South West of England and had accumulated enough points to claim his cat 3 licence.
